ARE PRE-RETIREMENT PLANNING AND POST- RETIREMENT PLANNING NECESSARY?
Once retired, the same principles apply as before a person retires, in fact a retired person should review their personal status on an annual basis after retirement.Many retirees today do not even have retirement programs.
Never in the history of the world, has retirement been such a great problem as it is now. Years ago a retiree never had the complex problems of today in the cut backs of the business world. Some retirees today are making great mistakes thinking they have the dilemma of retirement problems solved.
When retirees are unsure they will be inclined to worry and be stressed which will lead to anxiety and depression. This will need to be prevented by aquiring proper information to give them knowledge to overcome these situations.
Renewal of a person's life and retirement have things in common. A person needs to determine what their reaction will be to retirement. A person needs strategies for identifying their needs. There will be a need to establish a changing idenity. The requirement to set goals will be necessary so as not to flounder. A person will need techniques for time management. The retiree will need an overall plan for managing retirement.
Retirement is not just financial planning. Persons retiring need to learn how to optimize retirment. You will need to learn the realities of retirement. There will be the psychological effects of retirement. There is a need to discover what resources are available. The retiree will have to determine the right activities and how to select them. A potential retiree will need a procedure to establish income required for retirement and a plan for investing after retirement. Retirees need to choose a suitable lifestyle that they will enjoy.
Retirees need a complete program that will add better quality of life that results in being happier and more fullfilled and resulting in more productivity in society. Its best to start to plan retirement as soon as possible after entering the workforce and keep planning retirement long after you retire.
