WASHINGTON, D.C. - Former N.Y. Mayor Rudy Giuliani will be the keynote speaker March 7 at the International Franchise Association's annual convention in Hollywood, Fla.

Giuliani will address the members of the world's oldest and largest trade association representing franchisees, franchisors and suppliers during the opening general session slated to begin at 12:30 p.m.

"America's Mayor" will provide an introspective look at the lessons he learned from a lifetime of public service and how he drew on those lessons to provide strength and leadership to New York City and the nation after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

"Leadership is the backbone of good government and successful business, and Mayor Giuliani is the embodiment of what enlightened leadership can achieve," said Don DeBolt, president of the IFA, whose members' businesses span 75 different industries and operate in more than 100 countries. "Mayor Giuliani helped bring stability to the nation after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and his policies revitalized New York by creating an environment where business could flourish."

The 45th annual International Franchise Convention will be held at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa March 6 - 9, and will offer educational sessions designed to fit the needs of participants whether they are new franchisors, experienced franchisees, suppliers or first-time attendees.

Registration and additional information on the convention is available on the IFA Web site www.franchise.org.
