AUNTIE ANNE’S® CELEBRATES OPENING IN BAHRAIN

LANCASTER, Pa. (Dec. 18, 2009) – Auntie Anne’s, the world’s largest hand-rolled soft pretzel franchise announced today that it is continuing its global expansion with the addition of stores in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Today, Auntie Anne’s at Seef Mall, will open for business providing shoppers with fresh, hot, hand-rolled soft pretzels.
The Auntie Anne’s operations in Bahrain will be managed through a sub-franchise license by Da’Rosa Food Company WLL. The company expects to open at least five stores over the next five years with the goal of adding a unique brand to the food sectors in Bahrain. The master franchisee for Auntie Anne’s in this region of the world is Hospitality Concepts and Solution located in Dubai.

Using a proprietary recipe, the pretzels are created with the dough mixed, rolled, twisted and baked right in front of customers. Auntie Anne’s in Bahrain will initially serve customers the standard menu line-up, including a wide variety of pretzel flavors and on-the-go meal selections. All products have a Perfect Guarantee stating, “if a customer does not love his or her prtezel, Auntie Anne’s will replace it with one he or she does love.” Customization of products to fit local taste profiles may be explored by the master franchisee and Auntie Anne’s, Inc. in the coming months.
