Fitness Together Personal Training Franchise Reports Growth

By Mark Adkins, Business Opportunities Journal. November/December, 2008.

Despite tough economic times, the Fitness Together franchise reports strong growth. Fitness Together Franchise Corporation began franchising small personal training studios in 1996. With over 419 fitness studios open in five countries, the company has awarded more than 600 franchises. Franchisees employ more than 3,000 fitness trainers, providing personal training services to nearly 20,000 clients each week.

“Not only did we realize an increase in the number of people interested in our franchise brands in 2007 over 2006, but we’ve already surpassed those 2007 numbers in the first three quarters of this year,” said Samuel Hirschberg, vice president of franchise marketing for Fitness Together Holdings, Inc., the parent company overseeing Fitness Together Franchise Corporation.

Based in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Fitness Together Holdings, Inc., also oversees elements therapeutic massage, a massage therapy franchise that began franchising in 2006. It now has sold more than 100 franchises in the past 18 months.

“The growing wellness industry combined with entrepreneurs who have a passion for helping people live a better quality of life through their own franchise business is a winning formula.” Hirschberg said.
