Stroller Strides® Opens New Corporate Office to Support Future Growth
Formerly Home-Based Business Makes the Move to 3,000-Square Foot Office Facility
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 12, 2009) – Stroller Strides, the country’s largest exercise program for new moms and their
babies, has long prided itself on being a family-friendly business that its hundreds of franchisees can operate more or less
from their homes. Even more, many would be surprised to learn that this successful and fast-growing company’s
corporate office was located in a residential San Marcos, CA, neighborhood – not a high-rise or business park.
Starting November 1, however, the Stroller Strides
corporate team is now calling a new, nearly 3,000-square foot
office “home.” The San Marcos-based office suite features four
private offices, a conference room, a reception area and a fitness
center for training new franchisees and testing new classes.
“In the past eight years, our company has grown from just
me to now more than a dozen corporate employees, so we’ll really
benefit from this added space,” said Stroller Strides founder Lisa
Druxman. “This is such a turning point for the business, and we
couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter.”
Prior to the grand opening of the new office, Stroller Strides corporate employees shared office space in
Druxman’s home (they all had keys!) when not working from their own residences, and storage units helped handle
overflow of office supplies and company products.
Druxman looks back fondly on sharing her home – and close quarters – with her employees and often their
growing babies, but is certain the new office will offer even more opportunity for productive teamwork. Motivational
quotes and poster-size Stroller Strides and Fit4Baby photos cover the walls, and even river rocks decorated by franchisees
with inspirational words sit arranged on the conference room table.
“We’ve set up the office to be such a creative and inspiring space, supportive of brand growth,” said Druxman.
“It’s been an incredible journey for the Stroller Strides family thus far, and we can’t wait to see what lies ahead.”
Stroller Strides classes are offered in more than 1,000 locations in the United States and Canada. The hour-long
classes emphasize cardiovascular activities and muscle-strengthening exercises using resistance bands and strollers,
allowing moms to interact with their babies throughout their workout. Stroller Strides now also offers prenatal Fit4Baby
